Trying to Stitch

When I came across this patten it seemed to be the perfect lap quilt for my dear mother. I found some fabric with silver sparkles and it seemed just right for a January snowflake. Then the wrist problem and no sewing at all was done.

I keep trying to stitch a little. It is very uncomfortable and not easy to hold anything but I keep trying just the same. The blue and white HST's were machine stitched but the center star and adding the HST's to it and the two starpoints were done by hand. This has been a real challenge for me because I keep making errors and having to start again. Most frustrating.

Last Thursday night was the Bead Society meeting. This is the necklace I made there. Well almost. I got tired and put the clasp on the next morning. Beading seems to be a bit easier than some other forms of handwork.

  1. That is very pretty fabric. The quilt does look like it would be a bit tricky to put together even with two good arms!!

I have yet to make a feathered star quilt but they are such nice patterns that I would like to make one at some point.
