Here are blocks one and two from the Faye Anderson book. The pattern calls for a sequin to be sewn where I have placed a button in the first block. Some over achievers (Hanne and May) actually appliqued a teeny tiny dot of fabric there. Perhaps one day I too will be that good....................
WOOHOO ! Absolutely beautiful, Suze ! And I love your colors ! Now you're ahead of me, with my single new block ! I also thought about sewing tiny buttons in place of sequins, in case I don't find some...We"ll see....

Your two blocks are beutiful. I am so happy you are with us sewing now. Those tiny dots are not that difficult to make. Just make sure to have less seam allowance when you glue it. Then press, remove the freezerpaper and then tuck in in to place again and iron. And when you sew you forme it with your needle. Give it a try, it is not so difficult. But I think it will be beautiful full of buttons too,
ReplyDeleteOh Suze, your blocks look lovely. Alas, I have not started mine and the month is almost over. Need to get busy. I was considering using tiny buttons also. I love that idea!
